The Department of Health reported on Saturday night that there are 13 additional positive cases, along with their announcement earlier of 34 patients, bringing the total to 111 infected patients of COVID-19 in the country.
DOH released a statement in their official Twitter account the confirmation of the news
"The Department of Health reports 13 additional cases (PH99-PH111) of COVID-19 in the country upon complete validation of laboratory results confirmed on March 13, 2020. This brings the total number of cases to 111." reads in their Twitter post.
DOH will soon provide information regarding the cases to the public upon validation.
Just in 10 days, the total number of confirmed infected patients in the country reached 3 digits.
The outbreak in the country first started back on January 30, 2020, confirming 3 cases.
Despite recording the first death in the Philippines, positive cases in the country subsided in February but later ramped up in March.
