Youths from Barangay Yakal call for donations to help Homeless Families and support the frontliners on March 28, 2020. Due to COVID-19, As of March 15, 2020. City of San Jose Del Monte Bulacan is under City-Wide Quarantine on Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IAFTD-EID) Resolution 11 series of 2020. A huge number of families from the City of San Jose Del Monte Barangays does not receive food and hygiene supplies. The said donations will be given in Barangay Yakal elders, indigent families and other Barangay family residents who are in need. One of the volunteers who initiate this activity is Pauline Borcena which is the contact person for needed information and details for donation. They started creating posts in Social Media Platforms to reach people and to spread the activity. The Barangay already gave help but they are fully aware that is not enough. Youths think about something to do because they believe that "We can do it as one". Aside from Local help, the youths seek help from others and started to coordinate with them.
"personally din i want to help, bilang simpleng mamamayan lang din na may sapat na kita. kahit maliit lang, alam kong malaki impact", Raisa Abaigar stated.
