230 tested positive due to novel coronavirus; 13 new cases according to DOH

The number of patients infected due to novel coronavirus was now already at 230 tested positive after the Department of Health confirmed another 13 new cases, March 20. DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire stated that one more patient with COVID-19 died. He was Patient 124, a 65-year-old Filipino male who traveled from Singapore. He died on Tuesday, March 17.

This was confirmed in a press briefing aired on state-run PTV-4, past 4pm, Friday. Total of fatalities is currently at 18 deaths. No new recoveries were reported, which means the number of patients who no longer have COVID-19 stays at 8.
