South Korea made its biggest hotspot due to the outbreak of deadly coronavirus outside China on Monday, February 24.
Another 161 infections and two more deaths a total of 763 confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in South Korea were reported.
South Korean President Moon Jae-in stregthen the governement response to the outbreak in elevate the country's virus alert to highest "red" level.
The government extended the school holidays by one week nationwide and a tighter 14 days monitoring of arrivals from China.
However, fatalities in China continually increased with 150 more confirmed deaths taking the official death toll estimatedly 2,600.
Chinese authorities stated that they are making progress to control the spread of virus and infection rates — because travel bans, lockdowns and quarantines in or near the outbreak's epicenter.
