AWIT wins FCPC Battle of the Bands 2020

AWIT wins against (12) twelve competing bands to secure battle of the bands championship trophy in First City Providential College Battle of the Bands held at FCPC Gymnasium last March 9, 2020.

This band is from the Senior Highschool, which is Grade12 - Arts and Design 1. The members of the AWIT band are the following: • Kali Distrajo • Jason Mulleda • Michael Emir Loresto • AJ Dalisay • Chino Bombase • Andrei Aspuria • Jewel Aquino • Jomar Desoloc AWIT played (2) two songs which is Mundo by IV of Spades and Tayo'y Mga Pinoy by Francis Magalona, the first song depends on there song choice and the second song should be inlined with "Tugtuging Pinoy noong Dekada '90".

The whole band felt happy to win which brings them into an overwhelming and unexpected moment. According to the band, their inspiration is the whole Grade 12- Arts and Design 1 and their adviser Ma’am Richelle T. Supnet.

“Yung preparation po naming biglaan po talaga siya. Kaya lang po kami nasali kasi parang joke lang yung pangalan na Awit. Kasi nung nag production kami pag nagkakamali yun lagi yung phrase na sinasabi “Awit” and then nagulat kami nag register na yung mga kaklase naming at pinanindigan na namin. Hanggang sa hindi kami makumpleto sa rehearsal, hanggang sa naging kumpleto. Hindi naming inexpect na mag chachampion pa kami”, Michael Emir stated. “Nakakaiyak po kasi walang mic. Kaya ginawa na lang po talaga naming yung best namin” “Hindi ko po ineexpect kasi kanina hindi na kami umasa. Sabi namin ‘3rd place? Bakit parang hindi na tayo pasok. Wag na, wag na tayo umasa. Hindi na ako aasa’ ayun yung inisip namin. Hinihintay lang talaga namin 3rd place.”, AJ Dalisay stated while bursting with tears. They received (trophy, certificate and cash prize worth 1,500 pesos).
