On Sunday evening, the San Jose del Monte Public Information Office's Facebook account posted the enactment of a city-wide quarantine after confirmation of the second case of COVID-19 at the city.

The action was made in compliance with the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) Resolution 11 Series of 2020.

According to the City Health Office (CHO), the 2 patients are currently confined in hospitals in the National Capital Region (NCR).

"Pagtitiyak rin ng ating CHO na agad silang nakapagsagawa ng contact tracing sa mga indibidwal na maaaring nakasalamuha ng mga pasiyente, at nakapaglunsad ng disinfection sa mga naturang lugar." the post reads, ensuring citizens that they will do their best to secure the public's safety.

The City of San Jose del Monte already had its first COVID-19 case back on March 09, 2020 (PH21), making this the second case overall for the municipality.
