First City Providential College hosts Foreign Students' Orientation Program for Indian enrollees

First City Providential College conducted a Foreign Students’ Orientation Program Wednesday morning, January 22 at the FCPC Star hotel hosted by Dr. Nelson Maglanque.


The orientation has the theme “FCPC Pressing on Challenges of Diversity and Internationalization” which highlights the growing demand for globalization towards the students of the institution.


The opening remarks were given by Dr. Estrella O. Simon wherein she focused on the message about the milestone of the school as being a part of the rising city of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan as well as being the only private institution in the city which accepts foreign students.


“Welcome to First City Providential College”, Dr. Simon said after she introduced the international partners of the school around the world providing the fact that the school indeed has international excellence.


Right after that, the FCPC Baliktanaw Performing Arts gave an intermission number that entertained the guests of the program with performances from various cultures of the Philippines from traditional to modern dances and music.


Dr. Saithaluvi, a consultant from India provided some information on why the Philippines is one of the main choices for foreign students to go to. He also explained valuable information for the students and the teachers to remember


The orientation proper started with the introduction of the school officials and faculty members by Karen Obio, a faculty member from the College of Allied Medical Sciences.

The vision, mission, core values, program educational objectives, desired outcomes, learning outcomes, and the curriculum was explained by John Flores, RN, MAN, dean of the College of Allied Medical Sciences.


Jean C. Dunghit, RGC, RPm, the head of the Guidance services Office explained the learning-centered teaching-learning process within FCPC.


After that, Rovie David, RN, A School Nurse explains the clinic and the following Nursing Staff.

Rochelle Cortes, College Library staff discusses the use of the library room together with the ethics and etiquette followed within the facility.


Meanwhile, Teodora Santelices, The Head of Student Affairs explains the following school organizations and also names the following Athletic Clubs.


“Research is fun in FCPC” as stated by the host has been one of the key taglines within the institution, which is why Arabelle Baquiler, Director of Research Development and Innovation Office highlighted the importance of research within the institution and the innovating Asia when it comes to researches.


Before the closing prayer, Dr. Echel Simon Antero, “open-mindedness is a mantra of mine” stated as she shares her experience throughout the years.


Peer mentoring was explained to the foreign students as one of the learning core used in the institution to help the students to be able to cope up with the studies.


The program ended with a closing prayer and then proceeded to lunch and a school tour.
