Residents witnessed a surprising event as hundreds of monkeys were seen fighting over a single banana in the streets of Lopburi, Thailand.
It was believed to happen because due to lack of food given to them by visitors in the area.
The primates were normally fed by the tourists in the area but because of the COVID-19 outbreak, the number of travelers there dropped drastically.
Even locals who were used to see the monkeys in the street were startled from their aggressiveness.
Onlooker Sasaluk Rattanachai recorded the occurrence just from outside of her shop.

"They looked more like wild dogs than monkeys. They went crazy for the single piece of food. I've never seen them this aggressive." she said.
"I think the monkeys were very, very hungry. There's normally a lot of tourists here to feed the monkeys but now there are not as many, because of the coronavirus." she added.
Lopburi is known to be a home for thousands of wild monkeys that wander the streets and buildings of the city.
It was speculated to be a "rival gang fight" between monkeys who lived in the city and the temple areas of the province.
