Lockdown in Senate due to COVID-19

Starting on March 12, Thursday, the Senate of the Philippines will be on lockdown after a resource person in a March 5 hearing tested positive for COVID-19. All the Senate hearings were cancelled until further noticed as Senator Tito Sotto III stated during the interview. "Lockdown muna" Sotto told the reporters last Wednesday. The Senate building in Pasay City will be disinfected and the CCTV will be reviewed to check and monitor those interactions with the COVID-19 resource person. The March 5 hearing was conducted by the Senate committee tackled about basic education which was chaired by Senator Sherwin Gatchalian. Senator Nancy Binay was also present during that hearing. Both senators are under self-quarantine.
