OFW'S can now return to their jobs in Hongkong and Macau- DFA


There are 210,000 Filipinos working in Hongkong and 32,000 in Macau are now allowed to return to their jobs over travel restrictions due to the corona virus disease pr the COVID-19 according to the Department of Foreign Affairs. "Thousands of OFWs work in Hongkong and Macau have been exempted from outbound travel ban." said by DFA Undersecretary Bridigo "Dodo" Dulay on his twitter during the meeting of Philippines 'Inter-agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infections Disease. After President Rodrigo Duterte imposed a travel ban to China and it's special administrative regions, thousand of OFWs bound for Hongkong and Macau were left stranded in the Philippines. Because of this ,P10,000 cash aid was offeres by the government for each OFW stranded in the country and they provided dormitories and food.
