PAG-ASA spotted earlier a low-pressure area about 755 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar that was feared to affect the weather conditions of Southern Luzon provinces.
However, they clarified that the said weather disturbance will not affect the weather of Southern Luzon provinces affected by the Taal eruption.
During the live interview in DZMM Special Coverage, PAG-ASA weather forecaster Ariel Rojas stated that the only areas affected by the LPA are parts of Eastern Visayas and Caraga Region.
DZMM reporter Dexter Ganibe asked if the said LPA will affect the wind flow and possibly the direction of the ashfall towards the Visayas.
