Rapid increasing of COVID-19 in the Philippines raises up to 193 positive cases

Bringing a total of 193 patients tested positive due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Wednesday, March 18. The Department of Health (DOH) announced during the goverment's "Laging Handa" press briefing aired on PTV-4 on Wednesday. An additional 6 new cases tested positive for COVID-19 and confirmed yesterday, March 17. However, 3 more patients have already recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 7.

There were no reported new deaths as of 11am, which means 14 fatalities remain.
