San Juan surge to 45 positive cases due to coronavirus

San Juan recorded a 45 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, March 23. San Juan has 120,000 people were residents in the city according to the 2015 census. The city was next to Quezon City which has recorded highest number of coronavirus. Quezon City has 61 cases as of Monday night, but it has a land area and a population about 19 times greater than San Juan's. According to San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, "It is within a mall. The people who got infected by this virus came from the mall, workers in the Greenhills Shopping Center, and eventually went home to Baranggay West Crame," Of the 45 positive cases, 14 resides in Greenhills while the 12 live in West Crame. Zamora stated that all the confirmed cases were either admitted to preferred private hospitals or other hospitals in San Juan.
