Provinces of Cavite and Laguna suffered from brownouts on Sunday evening as the result of the ashfall from Taal Volcano’s eruption of ash explosion which affected the power grids.
According to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, 72 megawatts of power from Meralco was severed due to the ashfall.
On the other hand, the state seismology bureau raised alert level 4 already as the Taal volcano exploded and produced a mushroom-like form of steam and ash that traveled above the air reaching far provinces of Luzon and some Visayas areas.
The seismic activity within Taal volcano resulted in the cancellation of flights as part of security protocols mandated by the airport authorities for the safety of the passengers.
