Three patients of COVID-19 in the Philippines confirms death

The Department of Health confirmed the deaths of 3 patients due to COVID-19, making the total number of mortality rate in the Philippines to five (5).

It was identified that the patients who passed on due to COVID-19 were Ph5, Ph6, and Ph37.

Ph6 was admitted to Cardinal Santos Medical Center last March 5 and then later on transferred at Research Institute for Tropical Medicine.

Ph6 experienced difficulty in breathing and enturbulated in the evening of March 11.

Same night, the patient died due to severe pneumonia secondary to COVID-19.

Ph5 is the husband of Ph6 who also died on the same evening of March 11 due to an acute respiratory distress system from severe pneumonia secondary to COVID-19.

Ph37 was admitted at Philippine Heart Center last March 6 after experiencing a set of symptoms last February 28.

Ph37 was confirmed with COVID-19 last March 11.

The patient died this afternoon with acute respiratory failure as the cause of death.
