Warnings for Volcanic Tsunami Eruption

A phreatic eruption from one of the most active volcanoes in the Philippines last Sunday, January 12, 2020, was prompted a warning for a "Volcanic Tsunami".


The neighborhood of Taal volcano was already evacuated and advised to be cautious about any lake water surrounding taal.


The eruption last Sunday sent an ashfall to nearby cities and provinces. The Taal volcano is currently in the hazardous level 4 out 5 by the PHILVOCS (Meaning ng Philvocs) and raised fear among nearby residents.


In this, the PHILVOCS released a warning that the eruptions could cause a "Volcanic Tsunami". The institutes continue to give safety precautions to everyone. Almost 6000 residences nearby the volcano have been already evacuated last Sunday for their safeties.


Fishermen are already strictly prohibited right to go in any surrounding of the lake water. The press reported that as of now there are no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
