Mount Balagbag is located between boundaries of Rodriguez, Rizal, and City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. It is part of Sierra Mountain Range as it transitions to the plains of Central and Southern Luzon.
This mountain is highly recommended for beginners when it comes to hiking; 1-2 hours of hiking with 777 Meters above sea level. It is also the favourite of mountain bikers due to easy and wide trail. This tourist spot is perfect for the "barkada goals 2020" as it provides teamwork and patience for everyone that is included within the circle of friends.
A perfect place indeed to relax and meditate over the stress and hard work we do within these urban areas.
Mount Balagbag offers a great view that even Ipo Watershed, some parts of Manila and Ortigas can be seen at the top of it. Overnight camping is also allowed where city lights can be watched and a perfect place for stargazing while during the morning, the ever-smiling sunshine together with the sea of clouds will kiss upon your day.

The view is breath-taking and expects to be windy at Mount Balagbag. There is no cellphone signal and electricity at the top Mount Balagbag; a good place to refresh, unwind and pause from the busy city.

Here’s how to get to Mount Balagbag:
At the back of BDO bank in Tungko, CSJDM, a jeepney terminal going to Licao-Licao.
There is a jeepney terminal going to Licao-Licao; ride that jeep to Licao-Licao. From Licao-Licao, you may start your trek up to the summit. There are also waterfalls that you may explore like Karahume Waterfalls.
In terms of security, Mount Balagbag is safe to climb because the 2nd Infantry Division of Armed Force of the Philippines is already securing the area.
